The HSVP authorities here have issued notice to as many as 15 petrol and seven CNG pumps to pay Rs 51.04 crore lease charges that have been pending for the past many years.
While the outstanding amount of CNG pumps is Rs 33.02 crore, the petrol pumps owe Rs 18.02 crore.
These pumps are functional on the land of the HSVP. The HSVP has warned to resume the land if the defaulting amount is not cleared within 30 days.
“We have given several sites to different oil companies of which the majority have neither renewed the lease agreement not has paid the pending lease rent to the office, which amounts to Rs 51.04 crore, till date,” said Pradeep Dahiya, Administrator, HSVP here.
It includes an amount of Rs 33.02 crore to seven CNG pumps operating in Sector 9, 17, 20-A, 20-B, 24, 30 and 65. The date from which the dues are pending is being worked out, he said. On the other hand, the pending dues towards the 15 petrol pumps have been worked out at Rs 18.02 crore.
As these pumps are located in various sectors in the city, the oldest pending dues are since 1997 in which one of the pump operated by Hindustan Petroleum in Sector 20B has failed to pay Rs 4.3 crore since February 1997.
Another pump of the same company has been asked to clear the dues of Rs 48.96 lakh, pending since December 1997. While dues of four pumps are outstanding since the year 2000, the year of pendency of rest of the pumps range from 2002 to 2019.
Claiming that said a show-cause notice has been issued under Section 17(3) of the HSVP Act, Dahiya said that the pumps have been asked why an order of resumption of site not be made if the defaulting amount is not cleared in the given time period. He said sealing of the defaulter pumps might be done as per provisions.
