Legal awareness camps scheduled in Sirsa

The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) of Sirsa, under the direction of the Haryana State Legal Services Authority, will host a series of legal awareness camps in villages and schools. These initiatives aim at informing the public and schoolchildren about various legal aid schemes offered by the authority.

DLSA secretary and Chief Judicial Magistrate Parvesh Singla announced the schedule for these events. The first camp will be held on December 4 at Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Shah Satam Chowk in Sirsa, where Advocate Sunita Sharma will conduct the session. On December 6, Advocate Pawan Kumar Berwal will lead a camp in Darba Kalan village, followed by Advocate Rambeer Singh at Bappa village on December 9. Other events include a session by Advocate Chanchal in Panihari village on December 11 and Advocate Sharda Saharan in Moriwala village on December 13.

The awareness efforts will continue with Advocate Baljeet Kaur in Kurangawali village on December 16, Advocate Amandeep Kaur in Madhosinghana village on December 18 and Advocate Suresh Kumar at Sirsa Senior Secondary School on December 20. Additional sessions are planned for December 23 at Model Sanskriti School, led by Advocate Rakhi Rani, and December 27 at the Civil Hospital, with Advocate Balbir Kaur Gandhi addressing attendees.

The camps will cover vital topics, including disaster relief schemes and legal services, for unorganised workers, child-friendly legal protection, assistance for individuals with disabilities, poverty alleviation programmes, support for acid attack survivors and rehabilitation for substance abuse victims, senior citizen aid and initiatives for leprosy-affected individuals. These efforts aim to empower the public with knowledge and ensure access to legal resources for all.
