Animal Husbandry and Dairying Minister Shyam Singh Rana today assured that all legitimate demands of the Veterinary Livestock Development Assistants (VLDAs) will be addressed.

During a meeting with representatives of the Veterinary and Livestock Extension Association here, it was highlighted that demand to change the designation of VLDAs to Veterinary and Livestock Extension Officers was pending for long. The minister directed appropriate action in this matter.

Other issues discussed included the formation of a Diploma Veterinary Council, implementation of ACP with grade pay as per the 7th Pay Commission and ensuring the participation of all VLDA members in the upcoming online transfer drive.
