Leopard sighting sparks panic in Yamunanagar village

According to villagers, the leopard was seen chasing a dog early in the morning. The dog ran into the village to escape, while the leopard halted at the edge of the village before retreating back into the nearby agricultural fields.
A local resident, who witnessed the scene, recorded a video of the leopard chasing the dog on his mobile phone, which quickly spread among villagers and intensified the fear.
“We are in panic after the presence of the leopard in the village. The Wildlife Department should capture this leopard for the safety of the villagers,” said a concerned resident.
Responding to the situation, Lilu Ram, Inspector, Wildlife Department, confirmed that a team has been sent to the area to monitor and address the situation.
“There is a forest area located close to the village, and the leopard might have strayed from there,” he said, assuring residents that efforts are being made to locate and secure the animal.
