Chandigarh, June 6
The Haryana Government on Sunday extended the lockdown for another week till June 14 while announcing major relaxations, including opening of restaurants, bars, clubs, religious places and extended shopping hours. Besides, gatherings with up to 50 persons have also been allowed.
An order of Chief Secretary Vijai Vardhan said the timings for shopping complexes had been extended from 9 am to 3 pm to from 9 am to 6 pm. The timings for the shopping malls would be 10 am to 8 pm.
Similarly, restaurants, bars and clubs will be allowed to open from 10 am to 8 pm with 50 per cent seating capacity. However, Covid-appropriate behaviour, including social distancing and regular sanitisation, needs to be ensured.
Under the new orders, the cap of 11 persons had been extended to 21 for wedding functions and funerals, which can now be conducted outside houses and courts with strictly no procession.
Other functions with a maximum cap of 50 persons with the prior permission of the DC concerned have also been allowed. Religious places can also open but with a maximum of 21 persons at one time. Corporate offices can open with a capacity of 50 per cent. Moreover, home delivery by restaurants and food joints will be allowed till 10 pm.
