Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Saturday said nobody believed in the Congress’ guarantees as it failed to execute these in Himachal Pradesh in the last two years.

Addressing the public at the Narnaul Assembly segment in Mahendragarh district for BJP candidate Om Prakash Yadav, Saini said, “Loot and ‘jhoot’ are the only guarantees of the Congress. They have nothing to do with the people’s interest. It intends to come to power only on the basis of spreading lies. Their leaders don’t know that the voters have closed their shop of lies.”

He said former CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda had failed to answer 10 questions posed to him about the functioning of the government during his tenure.

“The Congress is misleading the people over the Agnipath scheme. Their leaders are saying that Agniveers will have no employment after the completion of their four-year contract. However, the BJP has already decided to give a regular job to every Agniveer,” he added.

Though the Assembly poll had been scheduled for October 5, the Congress candidates had already started selling government jobs, said Saini, adding that it proved that Hooda government had given employment on the basis of parchi-karachi before 2014.

“We ended the parchi-kharchi system and gave jobs on merit basis. Two lakh more jobs will be given to deserving youngsters after coming to power for the third time. We have also decided to set up 10 industrial modern townships to generate employment avenues,” the CM claimed.
