The centre would support on-ground requirement of labour, machinery and pump sets during periods of heavy rainfall.

Mock drills had been carried out at all underpasses in the city, and necessary remedial measures had been communicated to the departments concerned, officials added, stating that the desilting of drains was also being carried out by all local authorities in their respective areas.

Dhesi directed all departments to intensify their action plans in order to solve the issues of waterlogging in the city and ensure regular coordination between all local authorities.

Matters pertaining to the disposal of legacy waste at Bandhwari, planning for solid waste management, and strategy for C&D waste were also deliberated upon with the chiefs of the Gurugram and Manesar municipal corporations.

Directives were issued to keep a check on all garbage-vulnerable points and ensure door-to-door collection of waste to strengthen the waste management infrastructure in the city.

The issue of improper disposal of waste water at Naurangpur village and its consequential damage to roads was raised during the discussion.
