A gram sachiv (secretary) was killed in a road accident near Bubka chowk of Radaur town in Yamunanagar district.

The deceased has been identified as Neeraj Dikshit (57) of Radaur town. A case was registered against a truck driver at the Radaur police station in connection with this accident.

According to information, Neeraj Dikshit along with Jasmer Kamboj was going somewhere in the town at about 12 pm on Wednesday.

When they reached near Bubka Chowk of the town, their motorcycle was allegedly hit by a truck from the rear side.

Neeraj and Jasmer received injuries in the accident and they were taken to a hospital in the town. Neeraj reportedly succumbed to his injuries on the way to the hospital.

He was posted as panchayat secretary in the office of block development and panchayat officer, Radaur.
