An unidentified person was found hanging from a ceiling fan at a classroom of a government school in Jagadhri on Thursday. According to information, some children, while playing at the school ground, spotted the body hanging from a ceiling fan of the classroom of Class XI. They immediately informed the school staff about the incident. While staff members were present at the school, no students were reportedly present due to the ongoing examinations. City police station, Jagadhri, SHO Jasbir Singh said the police were informed about the incident at noon.

The deceased was about 60-year-old, he added.

He said CCTV camera footage was being examined.

The police had kept the dead body in the mortuary of Civil Hospital, Jagadhri, for identification, he added.
