Man gets 20-year jail for sexually assaulting minor

The verdict was delivered by Additional Sessions Judge Dr Naresh Kumar Singhal on the basis of strong digital, medical and witness evidence presented during the trial.
The accused, Kuldeep resident of Basara village in Hisar district, was found guilty under various Sections of the Indian Penal Code, including 376(2), 376(3), 376 DA, 506 IPC, and Section 6 of the POCSO Act. The case was registered at the Women police station, Sirsa, on May 13, 2022.
Investigators gathered digital and technical evidence, such as mobile data, call detail records (CDR), medical reports and the victim’s statement under Section 164 of the CrPC. These, along with consistent and credible witness testimonies, helped the prosecution build a watertight case.
Judge Singhal found the accused guilty and sentenced him to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment under Section 6 of the POCSO Act and imposed a fine of Rs 50,000.
