The Court of Additional Sessions Judge Ashwani Kumar on Saturday convicted a man for molesting and threatening to kill his minor stepdaughter four years ago and sentenced him to three and a half years of rigorous imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 55,000.

According to the police, a complaint was received at the Sector 56 police station on September 21 in 2020, in which a man was accused of molesting his 15-year-old stepdaughter and threatening to kill her. The police had registered a case under the POCSO Act and IPC, and arrested the accused on September 22, 2020

“On the basis of the chargesheet, evidence and witnesses, the court held the accused guilty, and sentenced him to 3.5 years of RI and imposed a fine of Rs 55,000,” said Sandeep Kumar, spokesperson of the Gurugram police.
