The court of Additional Sessions Judge Tarun Singal on Friday sentenced a convict to 4-year rigorous imprisonment and a fine in a 2023 attempt to murder case.

According to the police, the incident took place at Silokhara village on May 19, 2023. After a brawl broke out between two neighbours, one stabbed the other’s son in the stomach with a knife. The victim was seriously injured, and was rushed to the hospital. An FIR was registered at the Sector 40 police station in this regard.

While investigating, the police arrested the accused, identified as Sadimul Ali of Malda district in West Bengal.

“On the basis of evidence and witnesses, the court of Additional Session Judge Tarun Singal on Friday sentenced the convict to 4-year rigorous imprisonment. The court also imposed a fine of Rs 1,000 on him,” said a spokesperson of the Gurugram police.
