The special POCSO court of Additional Sessions Judge Neeru Kamboj of Nuh has sentenced a man to five years of imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 13,000 for sharing obscene pictures in a WhatsApp group during a school’s online class.

In January 2022, during an online session on a school's WhatsApp group, the accused, Ashiq from Badarpur village in Nuh district, joined the group under the pretence of being a parent. Once added, he shared explicit images and engaged in inappropriate chats with the teacher.

After teacher reported the incident, the school administration filed a complaint at the women's police station in Nuh, leading to the accused's arrest on January 29, 2022.
