Man gets life term for murder, fined Rs 30,000

The court of Additional Sessions Judge Sunil Kumar Diwan on Thursday sentenced a convict to life imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 35,000 on him for stabbing a person to death in 2021.

The convict was identified as Bhola Prasad, a native of Rohtash district in Bihar.

According to the police, they recevied information on January 29, 2021, that a person was killed at the Rajiv Chowk parking. Later, a team from the Shivaji Nagar police station reached the spot and found a man injured at a dhaba near the parking lot. He was rushed to hospital and was later referred to Delhi’s Safdarjung hospital, where he died during treatment the next day.

The deceased was identified as Ramcharan (47), a native of Uttar Pradesh, who worked at the dhaba.
