The court also imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 on the convict. In case of non-payment of fine, he will have to face additional punishment of one year, they added. An FIR was registered on January 3 last year at the Sector 18 police station on the complaint of Pawan Turi of Hazaribagh in Jharkhand.

Pawan told the police that his brothers Monu and Sonu, alias Tatka, were staying in Sukhrali Enclave here. He said his sister Sunita and brother-in-law Rajiv were also staying in the same locality. “On January 2 last year, I was in my room when Sonu came and told me that he had a fight with his brother-in-law Rajiv. Then, Rajiv came with a knife and stabbed Sonu in his chest,” Pawan told the police.
