The Faridabad police have arrested a person for allegedly shooting his elder brother dead on Thursday night over a property dispute. The accused, identified as Vikas (41), a resident of Fatehpur Chandila village of Faridabad district, had opened fire on one Narender, aka Bittoo, on the night of January 16, it is reported.

The accused and his brother were reportedly arguing over property before the murder.

Meanwhile, the police in the neighbouring Palwal district arrested a person, identified as Yusuf, a resident of Bharatpur district in Rajasthan. It is alleged that he had stolen the mobile phone of one Yogesh Kumar, a resident of Nangla Khanpur village of Palwal district, on December 21 and had withdrawn Rs 50,200 from his bank account through a UPI transaction.
