Man held with 1.25L illegal tablets in Fatehabad

One person, identified as Lakhwinder Singh, alias Kala, who had stored drugs without any valid license, had been arrested.
The police received a tip-off about illegal drug storage in Satish Colony, Fatehabad. A joint team with Drug Inspector Dinesh Kumar raided the site and seized the drugs. The accused failed to produce any legal documents. A case was registered under relevant sections of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act.
Lakhwinder has multiple cases under the NDPS Act regarding seizure of smuggled drugs, including smack, poppy husk and thousands of narcotic tablets, registered against him previously. Five other cases under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act against him are pending in court.
The police said an investigation was underway to identify the drug network and other persons involved in the illegal activity.
Authorities urged the public to report any suspicious drug-related activity by calling 112 or reaching the nearest police station. The identity of informants will be kept secret.
