Yamunanagar, February 27

A team of the Anti-Narcotics Cell of the Yamunanagar police has arrested a person and recovered one illegal country-made pistol and four live cartridges from his possession.

The accused has been identified as Narvair Singh of Kherki Brahman village of Yamunanagar district.

Police spokesman Chamkaur Singh said Mahavir Singh, incharge of the Anti-Narcotics Cell, had got information that a man having an illegal country-made pistol was roaming in the Badhi Majra village area.

He said he formed a team which arrested the accused and recovered the pistol and four live cartridges from his possession. “The accused was produced before a local court on Friday which sent him to judicial custody,” said Chamkaur Singh. — TNS
