Man hurt in hit-and-run case

Gurugram, August 29

A private insurance company employee riding a scooter was seriously injured after being hit by an unidentified speeding vehicle near Ambience Mall on the Delhi-Jaipur Expressway. An FIR was registered at the DLF Phase-3 police station.

According to the police, the incident took place opposite the mall on the expressway around 8 am on Tuesday. The injured, identified as Anshul Bassi, a resident of Uttam Nagar, was on his way to office in Sector 18 when a speeding vehicle hit his scooter and the driver fled from the spot. Anshul was rushed to a private hospital where he is still undergoing treatment.

The FIR has been registered under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita on the complaint of Anshul’s sister, Nishu Bassi.

“The injured man is being treated in a hospital. We are trying to identify the vehicle and the driver. The accused will be arrested soon,” said head constable Hansraj, the investigating officer.
