In a shocking incident, a 35-year-old Judola village resident allegedly poisoned and killed his four-year-old son and attempted suicide after his wife eloped with her lover.
The man was being treated at a hospital and was in a critical condition. An FIR of murder was registered against the man at the Farrukhnagar police station.
The accused was identified as Rajesh Mittal, alias Bholu. He is married and father of two 10 and 4-year-old sons. His wife Payal allegedly eloped with her lover on Wednesday morning. It was around 8 pm when his elder son Mohit went to buy chips that he gave insecticide to his four-year-old son Bharat and had it himself. Meanwhile, his son Mohit reached home and raised an alarm and neighbours gathered at their home.
They rushed both father and son to a nearby hospital, but Bharat died on the way and his father Rajesh Mittal was being treated.
A case was registered in this regard at the Farrukhnagar police station.
