The accused was identified as Tariqat Hussain, a native of Amroha district in UP. He was operating his ‘Shifa Clinic’ in Peer Baba Wali Gali at Molahera village without any permission. It is alleged that he was not even a doctor.

When the joint team raided his clinic on Wednesday evening, he could not show any degree or registration documents for the clinic. The team also recovered medicines and injections in a huge quantity. Besides, the officials also found a patient in the clinic.

On the complaint of Dr Ravi Kumar Dalal, medical officer at the Urban Primary Health Centre, Ghata, an FIR was registered under Section 34 of the NMC Act and Section 271 of the BNS Act at the Palam Vihar police station. “The accused was let off on bail after he joined the investigation,” said Inspector Bijender Kumar.
