In Sirsa, a man called a police chowki pretending to be the personal assistant (PA) of local Congress MLA Gokul Setia. Surprisingly, the work he requested was completed. However, the matter soon reached the MLA, who was shocked to hear about it.

MLA Setia contacted his office to confirm the call, and it was soon discovered that the caller was a party worker. He had used his own phone to make the call but falsely claimed to be the MLA’s PA. Neither the MLA nor his office staff had any knowledge of the call or the request.

Angered by the misuse of his name, MLA Setia spoke directly to the police and instructed them not to take any action on behalf of anyone claiming to be from his office unless they speak to him personally. He also made it clear that no work should be done in his name without direct confirmation from him.

Although the identity of the worker has not been officially revealed, the incident has become a topic of discussion in the area. When questioned, the MLA’s office and PA did not disclose the name of the person behind the call.

Later, MLA Gokul Setia posted a message on his social media account warning everyone. He wrote, “If anyone calls you claiming to be my PA or from my office, do not take any action unless you have spoken to me directly. Strict action will be taken in the future against anyone who misuses my name.”
