“The search at the house of Naresh led to the seizure of two mobile phones and some handwritten documents. The NIA investigations had identified Naresh as a former member of a student organisation and a close aide of accused Priyanshu Kashyap in the case RC-01/2023/NIA/LKW. As part of the CPI (Maoist) conspiracy, Kashyap used to frequently visit the said premises, where he conducted meetings with the organisation’s underground cadres,” said the spokesman.
He maintained that investigations in the instant case are continuing.
Sources said Naresh runs a physiotherapy centre in the city, where an NIA team arrived to collect information. Local police accompanied them during the visit.
