Interacting with mediapersons, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) said Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini would flag off the 5-km yoga marathon. “So far, 10,000 youths have registered for the yoga marathon, and further registration is on. The objective of the marathon is to motivate the young generation to stay away from drugs. The government has been making continuous efforts to connect the youth through marathon, yoga and sports. Youngsters from across the state can participate in the marathon,” the DC said.

As per the district administration, top-20 winners (10 each in male and female categories) of the yoga marathon will be honoured with cash prizes. In each category, the first prize is Rs 51,000, second Rs 31,000, and the third prize is Rs 21,000. Besides these, seven runners in both the categories will be given Rs 10,000 consolation prizes.
