The Haryana Government has initiated the process of monetising the old or abandoned properties of the Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board (HSAMB).

The decision regarding the auction of abandoned and vacant plots was taken at a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar here today.

The CM was apprised that the board owned old office buildings and staff quarters at 35 locations, which were to be auctioned.

Khattar directed officers concerned to create a portal for uploading information about these properties, after which the auction would be conducted. This would ensure the proper use of the properties and bring additional revenue to the board, he said.

It was said at the meeting that of 37,364 plots owned by the board, 23,206 had already been auctioned or allocated. Currently, 14,158 plots were vacant, and the board had prepared an auction plan for the next six months.
