Yamunanagar-Jagadhri Mayor Suman Bahamani on Tuesday held a meeting with Municipal Corporation (MC) Commissioner Akhil Pilani and Additional Municipal Commissioner Dheeraj Kumar to discuss various projects related to the beautification and the sanitation system of the twin cities of Yamunanagar and Jagadhri.

Development works discussed at the meeting included improving the sanitation system of the twin cities, beautification of the main roads and chowks, shifting of street vendors to vending zones, dealing with the problem of waterlogging, solving the problem of stray dogs, seating arrangements for councillors in the MC office, and the construction of a river front and Hamida Park.

The Mayor said the

‘triple-engine government’ was determined to ensure the development of the twin cities.

Municipal Commissioner Akhil Pilani and Additional Municipal Commissioner Dheeraj Kumar gave detailed information about the projects to the Mayor.

Pilani said a discussion was held on intensifying the cleaning of drains and

getting small drains cleaned soon in order to deal with the problem of waterlogging.
