Mayor visits three parks in Jagadhri sector

Mayor Suman Bahamani inspected three parks of Sector 18 in Jagadhri on Thursday.

During the inspection, the Mayor found some flaws in construction work of a track at Tikoni Park. Expressing dissatisfaction over the said construction work being done by a private agency, she said that misuse of public money would not be tolerated. She said if any kind of negligence was found in the construction/development work, strict action would be taken against the violators.

The Mayor also directed the officials of the Municipal Corporation, Yamunanagar-Jagadhri (MCYJ) to regularly check the work being done for development and beautification of the parks. According to information, the MCYJ was carrying out development work worth crores of rupees in all 22 wards of the MCYJ.

Bahamani is conducting periodic inspections to ensure the quality of the development works.

In this regard, the Mayor along with Assistant Engineer Rajesh Sharma, Junior Engineer Abhishek, office-bearers of Resident Welfare Associations and officials of the agency inspected Udham Singh Park, Tikoni Park and one more park in Sector18 on Thursday. She inspected the parks’ maintenance and also observed the development work being carried out. As per available information, during this visit, the Mayor noticed some deficiencies in the ongoing construction work of a track at Tikoni Park.
