Similarly, the other team headed by Chief Sanitary Inspector Sunil Dutt closed around 30 garbage points in Zone II.

These points include outside the Municipal Corporation office, near Maharana Pratap Chowk, Swarn Jayanti Park, ITI, Kanhaiya Sahib Chowk, Old Hamida truck stand, Radaur Road culvert, Joriyo petrol pump, Sant Nirankari Satsang Bhawan in Farkpur, Sargodha sweets house, Bypass Bridge in Ward 17, government school of Govindpuri and Hanuman temple in Sarojini Colony.

After removing the garbage points, the teams of the MCYJ placed flower pots and benches there.

Sinha instructed sanitation officials to inspect the closed garbage points regularly, so that no one dumped garbage at those points again and damage the pots.

Additional Municipal Commissioner Dr Vijay Pal Yadav said the MCYJ had started door- to-door garbage collection vehicle service to collect garbage from every house, shop and other places.

He appealed to the people to put garbage from their houses in those vehicles instead of throwing it in the open.
