Chairing a meeting of senior MC officials here, Sriniwas said several complaints regarding Sunday markets in some parts of the city, including Ballabhgarh division, had surfaced. The Commissioner said not only were these illegal but had also been a cause of inconvenience to commuters. She said while some of the complaints had surfaced in the Samadhan Shivir organised by the administration recently, these needed to be resolved as per the rules. She said the authorities should ensure that no such markets or bazaars were allowed.

She further said while an action against illegal meat shops should be taken immediately, the officials should ensure resolution of all types of grievances of the residents in the least amount of time as per the ongoing drive of the Samadhan Shivirs launched by the state government.
