MC processes pending Tehbazari applications

The council has asked the shopkeepers to deposit the required amount to get the ownership rights

The Municipal Council Ambala Sadar has processed 20 long-pending Tehbazari applications and issued demand notices to grant shop ownership rights to the applicants.

As per information, the MC has processed the applications following the directions of Cabinet minister and Ambala Cantt MLA Anil Vij. The council has asked the shopkeepers to deposit the required amount to get the ownership rights.

Under the Svamitva Yojana of the government, shopkeepers in Ambala Cantonment who had applied under Tehbazari (licenced street vending) will now become rightful owners of their shops.

As per a release issued by the office of the Cabinet minister, 15 more demand notices have been prepared and will be issued within the next couple of days. Thirty-five shopkeepers under the Tehbazari category are about to receive ownership rights of the shops.
