Holding a meeting with officers of the MCYJ here on Wednesday, Municipal Commissioner Ayush Sinha instructed the officials to allot tenders for these works as soon as possible so that the residents of twin cities Yamunanagar and Jagadhri could get better facilities.

He told them to maintain the community centres built in all these seven wards and to build boundary walls of those community centers.

“I told them to get the community centres repaired as soon as possible,” said Sinha.

He also instructed officials to maintain the parks built in those seven wards and to beautify them.

“I asked the engineers concerned to inspect every park to remove the deficiencies and to check the availability of gardeners. Agencies and park associations have also been asked to keep the parks beautiful,” said Sinha.

He also reviewed works worth being done in Wards 1 to 7.

He asked officers to start works, whose tenders had been allotted.

He instructed each Junior Engineer to visit their respective wards and prepare an estimate of works to be done in public interest.

“I asked the officials to get the damaged roads repaired, to lay drains and underground pipes in required areas and to prepare estimates of necessary works,” said Ayush Sinha.

“Strict action should be taken if the agency delays starting any work after having a work order or does not complete the work on time,” said Ayush Sinha.

He added that 42 development works were already under way in these wards at a cost of Rs 9.37 crore.
