Deputy CM Dushyant Chautala today issued directives to officials for the development of a robust mechanism aimed at eradicating GST evasion within the state. The move is expected to boost revenue, enabling the government to undertake more initiatives.

Chautala chaired a joint meeting involving officers from the Taxation, Police, Transport and Mining Departments. He urged senior officers to collaborate and create an effective mechanism capable of tracking instances of illegal mining, overloading, tax evasion and the transportation of commercial goods between locations. Such a mechanism would facilitate timely departmental action that will help in curbing GST evasion.

Highlighting complaints wherein trucks or large vehicles are recorded on paper as transporting mining materials between locations without any information on their actual movements, Chautala emphasized the need for close monitoring of such cases.
