Prof Kuhad, former Vice-Chancellor of Central University Haryana, Mahendragarh, said the curriculum would be made uniform across the country. “Benchmarks will be set for the curriculum so that Indian students will not face any problem in pursuing further studies abroad. Indian curriculum will also be designed as per the global levels,” he said, adding that a team of selected microbiologists of the country would prepare this curriculum and experts from the industrial sector would also be taken on board during the exercise.

On the second day of the conference of the Association of Microbiologists of India, the Microbiology Outcome-Based Course Curriculum Development meeting was held in the Committee Hall of the Vice-Chancellor’s Office.

The meeting was chaired by Prof SK Khare, Director of Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Kolkata, and the President of AMI, Prof Namita Singh, General Secretary of AMI, besides Prof Kuhad. He said AMSC fellows and subject experts have jointly developed a multi-disciplinary curriculum.
