The government is taking steps to stop illegal mining in the Yamuna and other places in Faridabad district, along with checking vehicles carrying minerals and plying without e-way bill. A Mining Department team is checking vehicles round the clock on roads and action is also being taken against those who violate the rules. As per the orders of the Director-General of Mining Department, KM Pandurang, the department is focusing on every aspect.

District Mining Officer Kamlesh Bidhlan is inspecting the Yamuna originating from the district. Vehicles are also being checked on national and state highways, and other areas in the district. She said during checking, no illegal mining had been found anywhere, and in case of any violation, action would be taken with immediate effect.

The drive was being conducted by the Mining Department in the state, including Faridabad district, in compliance with the guidelines of the state government. She said every activity of the department was being informed to senior officials of the department in writing.
