A man has been booked allegedly for raping a minor daughter of his live-in partner in a village of the district. The accused also allegedly threatened the girl not to disclose the incident to anyone. Her mother filed a police complaint upon noticing her daughter’s distress and learning the reason behind it.

Sources said the man has been in a live-in relationship with the woman for several years. The woman has three daughters and a son. According to reports, the crime took place on November 28 when the victim was alone at home.

The police have initiated an investigation after registering a case under the POCSO Act.
