Gurugram: Miscreants steal autorickshaw in DLF 2 area; bike on KMP e-way

Three miscreants, who had earlier booked the auto-rickshaw, assaulted the autorickshaw driver and fled away after robbing him of the vehicle at knifepoint in the DLF 2 area.
In his complaint, autorickshaw driver Noor Jamal Haq, stated he was near a liquor vend in the cyber city on Sunday around 11.40 pm, when three men approached him.
“They booked the three-wheeler for IFFCO Chowk for a fare of Rs 150. On the way, one of them asked to stop the autorickshaw near the Airtel building. One of them threatened me at knifepoint and another kicked me. They robbed my autorickshaw and fled from the spot,” added the complainant.
An FIR was registered against three unidentified accused under various sections of the IPC at the DLF Phase 2 police station on Monday. A senior police officer said they are examining the CCTV footage of the nearby area.
In a separate incident, stopping the two-wheeler to receive a phone call on the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) expressway proved costly for an Uttar Pradesh resident.
Three miscreants threatened Mohit Kumar, a resident of Bawli village in Baghpat in Uttar Pradesh, and stole his motorcycle.
Kumar said that he is working with a private company in Rajasthan’s Bhiwadi industrial area and left for his village on bike on Saturday evening. He said he had stopped his vehicle to receive a call on the KMP expressway near Farrukhnagar.
“Three youths suddenly arrived there and threatened me. They stole my bike and fled from the spot, after which I informed the police,” stated Kumar in his complaint.
Following the complaint, an FIR was registered at the Farrukhnagar police station. The police said the probe was underway.
