The posters read “Both leaders are missing. If anyone sees them or finds them, kindly inform the people of Sampla as water has entered homes in Wards 1, 8 and 13 in Sampla. People’s homes are submerged. Farmers’ crops have been destroyed. In this time of disaster, the people of Sampla urgently need their leaders.”
Meanwhile, the Rohtak District Congress Committee has condemned the act of putting up such posters, stating that legal action was being considered against those responsible for spreading such false, misleading, and malicious content.
“It appears that the misleading act is the part of a politically motivated attempt by any Opposition party driven by malice and misinformation. Both Bhupinder Hooda and his MP son Deepender Hooda are consistently engaged with the people of their constituency. They recently visited flood-affected areas and regularly met residents,” said Balwan Ranga, district unit (rural) chief of the party.
He further said the people frequently interact with both leaders, either in person or over the phone, and both leaders actively listen to and resolve people’s issues. The people of the region regard them as members of their own families.
“The act of putting up such misleading posters is a deliberate attempt to mislead the public, hurt sentiments and create confusion in society,” Ranga added.
