Mizoram Governor visits ancestral village in Bhiwani

Singh inaugurated Savitri Devi Park, and unveiled a statue of Maharana Pratap at the village. He inspected the park and interacted with villagers.
The park has been built in the memory of Mam Raj Singh’s mother.
The Governor urged area residents to ensure proper maintenance of the park, which he said was now the collective responsibility of the villagers.
The Governor, who has served as the Army Chief, said, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India’s borders were secure, and the dream of a developed India would be realised before 2047. He praised the Haryana Government for its continued efforts towards the development of villages and towns.
The Governor talked about his connection with the village, and thanked residents for inviting him.
He urged people to focus on children’s education. Speaking at the unveiling of Maharana Pratap’s statue, the Governor described him as a symbol of sacrifice and patriotism. He said Maharana Pratap played a vital role in preserving Sanatan Dharma, and his statue would serve as a source of inspiration.
Bhiwani-Mahendragarh BJP MP Dharambir Singh, sharing his longstanding connection with the village, said Bapora had produced great personalities — including Gen VK Singh (retd), who had served the nation as a top military officer.
