Sonepat, January 24

Motilal Nehru School of Sports (MNSS) celebrated its 52nd annual day in Rai on Friday.

Minister of State for Sports Gaurav Gautam graced the occasion as the chief guest, while Ashok Kumar Garg IPS (retd), Vice Chancellor, Haryana Sports University, was the guest of honour.

The event began with the standing salute, followed by a school song.

Moushami Ghoshal, principal and director of the school, welcomed the guests and the parents and presented the annual report of the school. She said a large number of students won medals for school in the field of sports, specially mentioning Anshu, a student who set a new national record in shot put.

A cultural show was put up by the students which included a well-coordinated yoga show, gymnastics, riding and band displays, a patriotic song and an enthralling Haryanvi dance performance.

In the end, prizes were given to the students who excelled in various fields by the chief guest.
