Rohtak MP Deepender Hooda today alleged that the BJP government at the Centre was looting Haryana under the guise of Goods and Services Tax (GST) collections by refunding only Re one to the state out of every Rs 7 collected.

Deepender is on the Haryana Mange Hisab Yatra across the state. The MP, while addressing a gathering at Kalwa village in Jind district, said, “If we look at it on a per capita basis, Haryana is getting the least amount of funds among 29 states, which is Rs 6,938, while Arunachal Pradesh is getting Rs 1.40 lakh and Goa, which is of the size of a district in Haryana, is getting Rs 40,000.” He alleged that this exposed that Haryana had a weak government, as it was unable to raise its voice against gross injustice being done to the state.

Deepender said that five out of six medals in the Paris Olympics were won by Haryana players but injustice and discrimination was done to the state in the sports budget. — TNS
