Speaking at a workshop under the Aatmanirbhar Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan in Babain (Ladwa constituency), the CM said nearly 15 lakh youth in Haryana have secured employment through MSMEs, a contribution that recently earned the state the National Award for MSMEs.
“With the campaigns of Aatmanirbhar Bharat and Swadeshi launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India’s economy has risen to the fourth position in the world. Initiatives such as Make in India, Startup India, and Skill India are not only making the country self-reliant but also self-sustaining,” Saini said.
On paddy procurement, he assured farmers that robust arrangements have been made in mandis. “All facilities from gate pass to crop registration are being provided online. Officers have been instructed to ensure prompt payment to farmers,” he said.
Highlighting challenges in procurement, the CM noted the difference between manual and machine harvesting. “Earlier, crops stayed in the fields for many days, helping retain the right moisture. With mechanised harvesting, the crop reaches mandis immediately. I appeal to farmers to ensure the moisture content in paddy does not exceed 17 per cent,” he urged.
The CM also announced that Union Home Minister Amit Shah will participate in an exhibition on October 3 in Kurukshetra showcasing the achievements of India’s new criminal laws.
