As the town has been facing a problem of parking, social activist Yograj Sharma has written a letter to Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini requesting construction of a multi-storey parking facility on PWD land adjacent to the road from Matka Chowk to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Flamingo Chowk, near the PWD Rest House in Hisar for resolving the long-standing parking issues in the town.

Highlighting the absence of adequate parking facilities which has resulted in persistent problems for local shopkeepers and their customers in the area, Sharma said there was an urgent need for a structured parking solution. The land along the PWD road boundary can be utilised for a multi-level parking complex, he said, adding that such a facility will not only ease traffic congestion but also support the commercial activity in one of Hisar’s busiest stretches.

Sharma noted that if approved, this project could fulfil a long-pending demand of Hisar residents and provide much-needed relief from traffic congestion. He further added that PWD Minister Ranbir Singh Gangwa was already working towards decongesting traffic in Hisar and this initiative could significantly support that effort.
