As many as 31,735 cases were settled in the Sessions Division in Panipat, while a total of 16,884 cases have been settled with mutual understanding of both sides in the Sonepat sessions division during the National Lok Adalat organised on Saturday.

Varsha Sharma, Chief Judicial Magistrate-cum-Secretary, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), said under the guidance of Sudesh Kumar Sharma, District and Sessions Judge and Chairperson, DLSA, the National Lok Adalat was organised here.

A total of 37,199 cases were included in the National Lok Adalat on Saturday, of which a total of 31,735 cases have been settled in Panipat and the Samalkha Subdivision, the DLSA secretary said. As much as Rs 9.74 crore amount has been settled in the National Lok Adalat.

In Sonepat, Pracheta Singh, Chief Judicial Magistrate-cum-Secretary, DLSA, said that under the guidance of Jagjeet Singh, District and Sessions Judge and Chairperson, DLSA, the National Lok Adalat was organised in Sonepat and in the subdivisions of Gohana, Gannaur and Kharkhoda. A total of 20,310 cases have been settled with the mutual understanding during the National Lok Adalat, in which the amount of Rs 7.80 crores has been settled, the DLSA secretary added.
