The newly selected youth in government jobs who arrived in the Civil Hospital to get their medical fitness certification were asked by an official to get a medical test done from a private laboratory today.
Some of the newly selected youths said while other tests were being conducted in the hospital, they were told to get the pure tone audiometry (PTA) test done from a private laboratory which charges Rs 500 per person.

After the matter was brought to the notice of Civil Surgeon Dr Sapna Gahlaut, she said the Civil Hospital was fully equipped to get all the tests done for the medical fitness certification. “I will look into the matter and ensure that the tests are done in the hospital itself,” the Civil Surgeon told the mediapersons.
