New seed centre to be opened at Goriwala village in Sirsa

The Haryana Seed Development Corporation will open a new sales centre at Goriwala village to benefit local farmers tomorrow. Dev Kumar Sharma, the Chairman of the corporation, will inaugurate will take place at 8 am.

Sharma said that this centre would provide high-quality seeds at affordable prices, helping farmers increase their crop yield. Farmers interested in purchasing good-quality seed can visit the centre, he said. He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s initiative to double farmers' income includes provision of quality seeds at low costs.

Sharma said under Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini's guidance, the corporation was working to bring good seeds closer to farmers' homes, reducing the need for them to travel far or wait in long lines. Farmers will not only have easy access to quality seeds but also benefit from other services of the corporation.

Besides Goriwala, the corporation plans to open such centres in other villages of the district soon, aiming to provide affordable, high-quality seeds to farmers across the region.
