NHAI directed to complete service lane on drain No.8

Deputy Commissioner Dr Manoj Kumar on Saturday directed officials of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) to complete the service lane on drain number 8 on the NH-44 at the earliest.

The DC along with Jag Bhushan, project director, NHAI, carried out a special inspection on the NH-44 to review development works.

Earlier, the DC held a meeting with officials of the MC, Bhigan toll plaza and Public Works Department.

Upset over negative behaviour faced by the commuters at the Bhigan toll plaza, the DC directed the staff to behave properly. He also directed them to make the toll plaza jam free by increasing the number of employees in the morning and evening hours.

He directed the agency running toll plaza to change the existing scanners and install IP cameras.

The DC asked the officials to construct speed breakers on service lanes at Bahalgarh, Murthal, Sector 7 and Kundli to avert accidents on the NH-44 and repair

the highway.

While reviewing construction of flyovers at Jahri and Lath Joli villages, the DC told the officials to complete Gohana-Sonepat highway at the earliest.

He asked the authorities concerned to make the Kakroi road motorable by laying paver blocks.

The DC added that the NHAI would complete main bypass from Barwasni to Murthal till March 15 and heavy traffic would be diverted on it.
