NIA carries out searches at three locations in Karnal

Three different teams of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) carried out searches at three locations in Karnal district on Thursday. These investigations were conducted at certain residences in RK Puram, Police Lines and Kalram village. While no official statement has been issued regarding the outcome of the investigations, sources indicated that the probe relates to possible funding connections involving criminal networks with links extending to Punjab.

As per sources, the teams arrived early in the morning in Karnal and started thorough investigation at the three locations. Sources claim that the case involves financial transactions carried out by two youths currently residing in the US. Investigating authorities suspect the transactions may be part of a larger network involving overseas funding to gangsters.

While the exact nature of the financial dealings is still under investigation, the suspected money trail and international connections have drawn the attention of the central agency. The raids remained confidential and officials of the NIA declined to comment on the progress or findings.
