The National Investigation Agency (NIA) today conducted searches at Garhi Sisana and Sersa villages in Sonepat district as part of its crackdown on the alleged organised crime syndicate of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.

The searches began in the wee hours and the NIA teams led by a DSP-level officer arrived at the residence of Priyavart, alias Fauji, a notorious sharpshooter of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang and a key accused in Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala’s murder. The team questioned Fauji’s mother.

Another team of the NIA raided the residence of notorious criminal Ankit Sersa, who was allegedly another key accused in the Moosewala case. The team questioned Ankit’s father besides conducting searches at his house.
