In a raid connected to an arms smuggling investigation, a team from the National Investigation Agency (NIA), along with the Nuh police, conducted a search on Wednesday at the residence of a youth named Javed in Shakarpuri village, located in Ferozpur Jhirka, Nuh district. The NIA team searched Javed's house and reviewed the call details of his family members' mobile phones. However, no weapons or objectionable materials were found during the search.

When contacted, Vijay Pratap Singh, the Nuh Superintendent of Police (SP), declined to provide details about the raid. However, sources familiar with the investigation revealed the NIA had received information about Javed's mobile phone being in contact with a number in Patna related to the purchase of weapons. Following this, the NIA team seized Javed's mobile phone for further examination.

According to police reports, the NIA team, led by Inspector Narendra Meena, arrived in Ferozpur Jhirka early on Wednesday based on intelligence. Around 11.00 am, the team, along with Inspector Aman Singh, SHO of the Ferozpur Jhirka police station and a large police contingent, raided Javed’s house. The NIA team questioned Javed about his activities and other relevant information. His mobile phone was seized for investigation.

Javed's family members, including his father Harun and brother Zubair, assured the NIA they would cooperate with the investigation. They said Javed had been employed at a warehouse in Bilaspur since November 1, where he was required to deposit his mobile phone while working. They suspect the smuggling issue might be connected to a communication Javed had made from his phone to a number in Patna, which led to his inclusion in the investigation.

The raid was confirmed by the Nuh police; however, officials have refrained from providing specific details regarding the actions taken by the NIA. A senior Nuh police officer, speaking anonymously, stated Javed's mobile phone had been seized for examination; however, no weapons or objectionable materials were found during the search.
