A team of the crime branch of the local police arrested a foreign national hailing from Nigeria for allegly possessing cocaine.

According to a police official, the accused, identified as Nweze Nnaemeka Pascal, Pascal, was nabbed from the Neelam Bata road in the NIT area here last evening.

The official added that the police had seized 1.79 gram of cocaine from him.

The accused told the police that he brought the drug from one Johnson, based in Delhi, and wanted to sell it here as he was to get around Rs 2,000 for this work. Pascal was booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act. — TNS
